Title: We Are All Not So Different
Medium used: wrappers, plastic bags, and magazine cut outs   Size: 9 in.height 10.75 in.width 2.75 in.height
Most of my evidence came from candy, magazines, and things I found in my house. I chose to put these items in my art piece because they are all different but they also share something in common. The meaning behind these pieces is that they in a way describe me but also share different meanings within our global culture. The pieces that I decided to emphasize were the beach and butterflies. The beach is something that I like and is something that I share with others as well. The butterfly is a way of saying that we all have potential in life; we just have to spread our wings. I unified my piece into sections of global culture and things that describe me as well as others. My message is to show that everyone shares similar objects and interests no matter how different we may be and how far away we are.

  1. The artist manages to fills in every single space in the box. I like she organized the shadow box according to her interest. For example, in one box, she put the all shoes, music, and other trends. Another box, she put “Arizona” drink, and another one for her motivation.
The areas that are most stressed are her the shoe boxes. The brands and the objects inside the trend part of the shadow box are strikingly similar to the girls in my class. I’m no girl mind-reader but I am guessing that those are the most famous trends for teenage girls these days. This also shows that the artist is following the trend.
The most interesting fact of the artwork is the fact that she put her motto inside the shadow box. It shows that the artist cares about children and the artist believes in the independence. The phrase that the artist puts in the box is very motivational though.
It is partially similar because I put globalized food just like the artist put a globalized drink.
She can improve it by putting more movements in the middle. On the other hand, I am impressed at her unique separation of objects.
